This video will show you how to use a simple form to access real time water quality data from around the United States. By selecting different parameters on the form, you can retrieve graphs that show just the data you want.
Data is available at multiple recording stations in each of the National Estuarine Research Reserves. You can select stations from a list or find them on a map.
Using the map, you can zoom in to see exactly where each station is located. You can use your mouse to drag and re-center the map. The map controls let you zoom in to take a closer look at each station location.
After you select a station, the lists of parameters will be updated to show those data that are available at your station. You can display one or two parameters at the same time.
Next, you must specify the time period you wish to examine. Enter the start date for the data you wish to retrieve by selecting the month, day, and year.
You can make a graph of data over a day, a week, a month, a year, or choose a specific end date.
When you have made your selections, click the Get Data button. Your request will be sent to the data server, and there may be a short delay while the server processes your request. The result will be displayed on your computer in a new browser window.
